We should probably introduce ourselves, we’re Videoclub Games, and we’re a very fun and very small indie game studio based in Essex but with collaborators and friends in London and further afield.
Right now we’re working on a game called The Races - it’s a party game about horse racing, with a look that feels right out of 1989. Ceefax for the modern age. Here’s a screenshot:

So we’ll be honest with you, we don’t know how well this sort of thing will go down with people. It’s got no massive budget, or huge marketing push, or anything really other than hopes and dreams, but we’re really happy with it so we want to start telling you more about it!
We’re hoping this little introductory taster will be enough for you to go “wow, okay, this might be fun! A party game we can play with friends? Count us in,” and you’ll wishlist it on Steam or subscribe to this beehiiv malarkey, and then we can make more things in the future (There is an idea for a second game idea and it is going to be a LOT of work).
We hope to do a little newsletter type devlog thing weekly so you can see just how ridiculous this game is - and maybe we’ll even invite you to join a playtest some time soon! Yeah? Cool.
